What you can expect in the workshop:

  • In this spring detox workshop, you will be guided through a series of movements and techniques to activate and purify the digestive system, release unwanted toxins, increase circulation & drainage of excess lymph to restore a healthy balance to the body and mind.
  • We will be focusing on a breathing technique specially focused on igniting your inner digestive fire, kickstarting your metabolism.
  • An energizing yoga practice which includes twisting yoga poses accompanied by a series also known as  “joints & glands”
  • Ending off with a relaxation to de-clutter and unwind your mind and a very special “spring detox” cup of tea

The workshop is for ALL LEVELS, even those new to yoga.

Please note: This workshop will comprise of twists and forward bends, which may cause a risk factor if you are pregnant, therefore we advise you to not attend this workshop if you are pregnant.

Detox Yoga & The Lymphatic system

The lymphatic system is an important part of our immune system, protecting the body against infection. Its main function is to remove waste & toxins from the body to protect our immune system from pathogens. Lymph’s are a clear, watery fluid that moves through the body picking up bacteria and viruses and filtering them out via the lymph nodes.

During this workshop, we will focus on:

  • Practice heating and deep, controlled breathing to better circulate good fluids throughout your body and remove bad toxins.
  • Twists to stimulate the flow of lymph up through the core of the body by squeezing the organs and muscles and then allowing fresh fluid to soak back in as the twist is relaxed.
  • A very special and specific focus on a “joints & glands” practice to cleanse and detox stuck toxins within these areas in the body
  • Unwind and de-clutter the mind through relaxation
